Our History
2015
It all began in 2015, when two aunts, Oliver and their grandmother brought to life a small family corner by the sea. A simple place, made for weekend getaways, time with family and enjoying the beauty of El Sargento: the Bungalows.
2020
Years later, in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic that changed the world, two siblings and two friends — the four of us — ended up in this very place. We spent months enjoying the sea, the desert, the sunsets and everything that makes La Ventana and El Sargento so special.
Little by little, friends and family started showing up. Between get-togethers, laughter and good times, an idea came up: what if we started offering something to eat and drink to the people who came to visit?
And so, almost without planning it, through word of mouth, a swing facing the sea, an incredible view and four people eager to make it while still having fun, La Tuna was born.
Today
What started as a meeting point for friends grew into something much bigger. A place where good food, music, sunsets and celebrations are all part of the same experience.
From day one, love for our surroundings has been part of who we are. Caring for our beaches and respecting the sea, the desert and the natural resources around us is our way of thanking this place for everything it has given us.
Today, La Tuna has become a landmark in El Sargento and La Ventana. We have grown, we have met incredible people and we still enjoy what we do, without forgetting how it all began.
Because, as they say around here, if you came to La Ventana and didn’t stop by La Tuna… then you didn’t really see La Ventana!
And here we are, feet in the sand, enjoying the ride, with many more stories to share.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this adventure. To those who have been with us from the start, and to those who keep arriving to make new memories.

Who we are and what we value
La Tuna is much more than a place by the sea. Over the years it has filled up with stories, friendships and unforgettable moments.
From the very beginning, love and respect for the place around us have been part of who we are. Caring for our beaches, respecting nature and protecting the beauty of El Sargento are values that have always been with us.
Here we have shared sunsets, good food, music, celebrations and beach days that turn into great memories.
We believe in enjoying life with balance: calm moments, good company and, every now and then, a good party. But we also believe that enjoying this paradise means taking care of it for those who come after us.
Today we keep growing and sharing that spirit with everyone who visits, always grateful for this little piece of Baja we call home.
